Yes in fact there are Networking Problems with the S10 Stop Ignoring Them!

So this is happening.... went in to LTE settings and selected one band at a time to connect to... There is a code to do this and you either know it or you don't. I'm not posting it because if you don't know it then you most likely should not be touching it.

S10+ SM-G975F/DS

Device constantly squats on either band 2 or 4, however Band 12 or 66 is available as well. Band 12 connected at 80-85 dbm yet once again when auto is selected device reverts to connecting to band 2 or 4 between 97-105 dbm. Talk to Samsung and they keep repeating the mantra of the software will connect to the strongest band.... Clearly not the truth.

Connect to Band 66, even worse than 2 or 4 at 115 dbm. Yet take out sim, put it into my OP6 and connect to Band 66 on the same tower back to 85-92 dbm

So it appears not only does Samsung have a coding issue but they may have pulled a bait and switch on hardware. Doing the latter is called Fraud... One of the reasons I pay my devices with American Express.

Yet response after response on the forums I see, the device will connect to the stronger signal... No, No It Doesn't. In fact not only does not connect to the stronger signal, the signal it is outputting is weaker then other devices.

These networking complaints between LTE and even WiFi have been going on since release yet here we are in November and still nothing.

"Phones do not latch onto the strongest signal.They follow the network assigned procedure, hence why it's not uncommon to be connected to a weaker signal than is strictly available "

Incorrect, Samsung will tell you the software will in fact connect to the strongest signal, as well as do a search of the board where the mods said the same thing.

And this is coming from someone you know... ok.....

And what pretell would be the network assigned procedure? Say that person is correct, then you have just proven that the network coding from Samsung is bad as it should connect to the stronger signal. I've had no issues with my Asus or OP phones connecting to the stronger signal, and yet here we are with a 1K Samsung device squatting on the weaker band giving subpar performance. Tell your friend to think about it and use critical thinking skills in regards to connection. This would also explain all the complaints about WiFi not connecting to the stronger signal when moving about.

Samsung should contact their competitors and ask them how to do network coding since clearly the midgrade manufactuers have hired people who do.
