My S10+ has suddenly started to turn down the volume on the notification sounds. If i turn it up to the highest it will turn back down to half way as soon as i send a SMS message. Has anyone else experienced this problem? It only happens with the notification sounds. Im puzzled as I can't see why its doing it.

Certainly a conundrum @lynnr

Just to check this isn't being caused by a downloaded app (s) put the phone in Safe Mode then see what happens.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

hi there thank you for replying. how do I check this? I'm convinced it started when my phone did a software update on the 10th.

Some similar to or a Google Search will show a walk thorough on how to do it.

Turn the device off.
Press and hold the Power key past the model name screen.
When "SAMSUNG" appears on the screen, release the Power key.
Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
Safe mode will display in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Release the Volume down key when you see Safe Mode.
Uninstall apps that are causing a problem.

Turn off safe mode.
Press and hold the Power key.
Tap Restart.
