Done that months ago, still updates.

Not playstore or galaxy store...  the updates samsung FORCES on us about once a month.

Wants to update now..  I keep having to delay 24 hours.  Wish I could go back 9 as well

No, you didn't. Read my post. The monthly updates can be disabled.

I read it.. and I ALREADY DID THAT!!!!

I'd still have OS9.. and be happy if that worked.

Also, I dont read (German?)

And not taking about app updates.

Security updates, OS updates.

Stupid android updates.

As I said, disable the automatic loading of android updates in Settings > Software-Updates. Then they won't be loaded. And if the aren't loaded you don't have to install them. There's exactly one option on that page that you can disable, I'm sure you'll find it.

In the situation you're in now, having downloaded an update that you don't want to install, perhaps wiping the cache partition will get rid of that. Might be worth a try.

And as to german : ever tried google translator ?

Yep, maybe you're right ! In the manual on page 242 it says :

Software update
Update your device’s software via the firmware over-the-air (FOTA) service. You can also
schedule software updates.
On the Settings screen, tap Software update.
If emergency software updates are released for your device’s security and to block
new types of security threats, they will be installed automatically without your
agreement.
• Download and install: Check for and install updates manually.
Auto download over Wi-Fi: Set the device to download updates automatically when
connected to a Wi-Fi network.
• Last update: View information about the last software update.
