This seems to be a reoccurring problem for all S series Android phones. I have had my S9 over a year and never had this issue until I recently manually downloaded a system update. I have tried all the solutions except deleting my data in certain apps like Messenger and I displayed all system apps and deleted the cache and still that did not work. You would think that with all the numerous complaints that have spanned over all this time from the S7 to the S10 and soon you will here the same thing from the A20 and more , that a solution from Samsung which works for all models would have been made.

My question to the developers is, WHAT IS CAUSING THIS PROBLEM and why is there a default error message showing when the problem exist.

Hi @jhaskins20018

Did you manage to find a solution to this or are you still having the same issue? If you are, could you give us a little more info about the issue so we can run through some troubleshooting?

First, Thank you for taking interest in this major Problem

1. I have a Samsung S( which came with the PIE OS and I have had this phone going on 16 Months and from day one, Not one problem, Not one error Until the recent Update / Upgrade to the Android10 OS

2. I am not alone with this issue or a Bug as you might refer too and the major glitch surrounds the In Call Feature of the program or source code which Mutes the volume to the internal notifications of

a. Ringtones

b. If I want to play a ringtone to my clock alarm I get the message UNABLE TO PLAY DURING CALL.

c. If I am tied into my Cars Multi media display I see my Phone Number and a duration counter displays when this glitch initiates and I have to push the hang up button to restore all back to normal

d. When this glitch or bug becomes active you can press the volume button and you see the IN CALL VOLUME ribbon Slider GREYED OUT and this is when I am bluetooth connected in my vehicle. As soon as I disengage and turn off my vehicle the IN CALL VOLUME bar turns solid blue and Then my phone notifications ALL go very low in volume and this is critical to me as I have a message reader that plays my message in real time vocal audio and I miss a lot of them cause not only does this glitch mute the notification sound it also diminishes Samsung's default ringtone of my message app were I can't barely hear when a SMS arrives

e. I have tried every solution except factory reset, which I refuse to do and the problem even continues in Safe Mode.

f. THERE IS NO WAY TO ROLL BACK THE UPDATE. I even engaged developer Mode to send a bug report every time I have to restart, Cause Restart fixes the problem but it is extremely annoying to restart almost three times a day and the problem comes with incoming calls and then I can't see the ghost calls in recent cause they do not show up but the phone is displaying a out going call or active call showing my number

g. Finally, I can't show you a screenshot cause when I do, It does not show the In Call Volume stream and I have no idea what the bug report is reporting as I cannot view the report. This problem I have read with all S Series phones and Note models and now the issue is cropping up with the S10 Series phones. There must be a solution and the programmers and developers are aware of this issue cause everyday some new Thread is reporting it to Samsung with no real fix being offered.
