Samsung S10 always hiding content for email notifications when everything set on

Hi. All of my email notifications say "content hidden", but I can't work out why. Things I've done

Settings> lock screen>notifications - set on and tap hide content is off, view style is details
settings>notifications>email - all account show notifications is on, new emails is on and tap has alert and lock screen as "show content"

Where else could hide content be???

Hi @masplin. Are you using the stock email app on your phone? Are you able to check your emails no problem using the browser?

Yes using default app. What do you mean using the browser?  Basically email is all working fine in the app except when i get a notificationon the phone the content is hidden.  i've been everywhere i can think of and all seems set to show content. This means my watch is useless as cant read the message in the notification.

Oddly just now i received a reply that was just one word. This showed up on my watch. i then tried sending myself a one work email and it still says ccontent hiddenhere as any message longer says content hidden

I work out why that one message had content. I was playing around with gmail and added my owrk email to gmail. The gmail notifdication shows the content, but the defualt app doesn't. Can I uninstall and reinstall the default app?

I dont seem to be able to switch to using gmail app as my google login is my perosnal email and my perosnal emails come via microsoft exchange. However i cant add that as an exchange account as gmgial say account already exisits!!!

Any other good email apps to try?

I am having the same problem now, but up until today it was working fine.  I bought a new watch yesterday.  Don't know if that would change anything, but seems more than a coincidence.

Any help would be appreciated because, as OP stated, my watch is useless for emails.
