I have my timeout set to 30 sec. No matter what time I set it to the screen will not time out. I tried resetting my phone a few time and still nothin . When I get a notification the screen stays on. This is draining my battery fast. Does anyone know how I can fix this

Plz and thank you

I'm wondering if some app is causing this @Hellranor  or an app preference setting.

To test this perhaps put the phone in Safe Mode which disables any downloaded apps and leaves the stock ones working and then see what happens.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²² Ultra 256Gb in Phantom Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

It still doesn't seem to work. Its weird cause it just started doing it today and I've had my phone for a while now. I didn't change anything either.

I have been encountering this issue lately as well. I just changed the timeout to 15 seconds and closed every open app thinking that maybe one of the open apps was commanding the display to stay on, such as for video playback. I had my cable TV app, YouTube, a camera video playback window, and many other apps open. I went to the home screen and after the expected time the screen dimmed for a few seconds then went off. Maybe there's a bug in one of the apps that isn't turning off the "keep screen on" status when playback is stopped or app suspended.

But I would think that a safe mode startup would yield the same results.

Me and my wife both have note s10 lite and my screen won't timeout and my lock screen won't turn off either so it's just bright. Hers is fine

Try turning off "Keep Screen On While Viewing" under "Advanced Features -> Motion and Gestures"

Under motions and Gestures I turned off the double tap to turn off screen. It seems to work fine now
