Galaxy S10 SeriesSo I`ve updated my s10 lite to the latest security (April) patch and since then I can not add a fingerprint. I have deleted the old one and wanted to add a new one but the process gets stuck each time at around 20-30%. (with the error " could not add you fingerprint. Try again .. . ) I have tried repeating the process in safe mode, tried moisturising my finger, lol.. hard reseting the phone.. nothing helps. Anyone facing the same issue? The phone is 3 days old :/.. If you have the same update on your phone could you please try deleting the old one and adding a new fingerprint. Would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Galaxy S10 SeriesHey @bront0k1! Please restart the phone by holding the Volume Down as well as the Power buttons for 10 seconds. Next, wipe your finger before attempting to use the fingerprint again as moisture or other elements can obstruct the reading of your fingerprint. Also, remove any third party screen protector, protective film or case and try again.

Galaxy S10 SeriesHi CarloL. Thank you for your reply. I have tried as you said and this time I got to about 50% and it gave me the same error. Plus when I press on the screen I can hear a clicking sound. Not sure how normal this is. My wife has a normal galaxy S10 and never had such an issue.

Galaxy S10 SeriesRight, the fingerprint scanner also reacts to warmth, can you make sure your hands and fingers are warm? You mentioned you also tried Safe Mode and a Factory Reset. Is the phone running on the latest software version? Settings > Software update > Download updates manually. If you are still experiencing issues, it may be worth having the phone looked at by a Samsung engineer, if the phone is working fine overall, you can wait until the Support Centres are open again or look into a repair here:

Galaxy S10 SeriesYes, I am running the lastest software update and my hands are warm.. I will try to return the phone. Hopefully the seller will accept the return. Thank you for your help.

Galaxy S10 SeriesHi @bront0k Just checking if you have screen sensitivity switched on, Settings-Display-Touch Sensitvity-Move Slider to On. Know you seem to have tried the standard fixes though. Obviously you may feel a return is the best option, though pick up repairs are available.

Galaxy S10 SeriesYes, its turned on. I have tried with and without it. I have contacted the seller.. He acccepted the return. Im not sure what to do next, cuz I have no idea if this is just my unit, or other people face the same issue.

Galaxy S10 Series@bront0k One of the reviews I have seen says fingerprint scanner a bit hit and miss, do not think many have reported on the Lite here. Depends on budget of course but I think several customers will find the standard S10 to be a better option.
