Hi, I bought a Samsung s10e from eBay end of last July. It was my first time buying a phone from there as i already had reservations about it. The phone was wrapped and everything and from my same network provider apparently. I had no issue with my phone but almost a year to the date this message showed up and I could not call or text out or receive incoming calls or texts as well as use my mobile data. My signal is usually at 4/5 bars still. I initially thought it had something to do with when I updated my phone, i noticed it took a lot longer than usual and when I checked it, it was extremely hot as it was plugged in. When it turned back on the message was there. After, charging my phone for a while would result in it getting very hot so I would take it off charge and put it back on. I contacted Three and they tried lots of other troubleshooting then said it was blacklisted. It got unblocked after I provided the IMEI but within a few days it happened again. I contacted eBay as Three recommended and said this happens all the time, eBay will help out. They were extremely unhelpful, citing sellers privacy, which is ridiculous as they could be complicit in selling stolen phones?! because it was after 90 days they didn't care. After back and forth calls to Three they then told me my phone wasn't blacklisted. They sent me a new SIM, I've just put it in and same issue "SIM 1 not allowed". I bought from ebay to save money on a long term expensive contract due to not having the finances to afford one, i just feel really let down and don't know who to contact to see if this is resolvable. /:
Does anyone have any advice? It couldn't have happened at a worser time, i live in am extremely high covid case area, we are on alert that we could be the first town within the UK to go back into full lock down, the only information I was getting were through texts, no other house hold member recieves any. On top of that I have very high risk, vulnerable family members who can only use phone as a contact option.
