@mhawkins12 @ElliottPace: Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. Are you using the original charger plug and cable that came packaged with the device? If you head to Settings > Device Care > Battery > Charging, is Fast Cable Charging enabled? Is it overheating while charging, or while the phone is in use?

I can't help but wonder how many warranty's will be voided because of users using third party chargers now that Samsung copied Apple and no longer include them in the box? Or how such things will be blamed for problems reported such as the one here?


My advice comes from being a UK Samsung iPhone user.
