No Message Notification light on S10?

I have had my S10 for almost a year after upgrading from the s6.  The one feature I miss the most was the message notification light on the s6 that would blink if I received any kind of message.  I could have the phone on silent, and if the green light was blinking, I knew I had a message.  For some reason, this was not included in the s10.  Does anybody know if this feature will be be included in any software update??

download 'holey light' from the play store and set up different colours for your notifications. its totally ad free and a free app

Not included because it would mean another hole in the screen.

hasn't been a feature on phones for years unfortunately, might be a app that could help

Thanks Pete.  Do you how how much that app eats the battery?

it does not use much ... but I get a circle on the screen when I get any sort of message and in almost any colour. all messages have their own colour
