Every app that we install requires access to certain areas of our device, like camera, contacts, gallery, messages, and so on.
It allows the app to perform at its best, but sometimes we don't want third party apps being allowed to access certain data, so it is important to learn how to check and control which app has access to which areas of the device.
Some apps have default settings when installed, some other will ask you to grant them certain permissions during the first use, but you're always in control of how they behave.
Let's learn how to do it:
- Open Settings and go to Apps
- Select the app you wish to set the permission for
- Go to Permissions to reveal what control the app currently has
- Swich individual permissions on or off
- Go back and repeat for all the apps you wish to change
