Asked to load an emoji update and have lost predictive text. Settings show predictive text as on and greyed out...cannot be changed. Can i reverse the update? Or how do i resolve this?

Hi @My_username
You can't reverse a software update via your phones settings once the update has completed.
Try 》
Settings / General management / Language and input/ Onscreen Keyboard / Samsung keyboard /
You could try the reset option there.

I updated my phone last night. When I got up today predictive text, auto replace, auto correct had all stopped working. have tried all of the suggestions here and through other searches and nothing is working.
The predictive and auto correct are toggled on but are shaded so I can't try switiching off and back on again.
This is really frustrating!!!!!! Please any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

My keyboard had changed settings, but found if you start typing in an app then tap the little keyboard icon in the bottom right of the keyboard, change it to Samsung keyboard you get all the options back. Mine had changed to Google voice typing and had no auto options. Give that a try.

Mine has done exactly the same. Sorry, but phones aren't worth anything if they can't do the simplest thing like predictive text.
