Do Not Disturb/ Alarm

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why my alarm worked perfectly and would wake me up even though its set before my 'do not disturb' switches off & now my phone has updated (within the last few days) my alarm now no longer works properly. 

For while my alarm actually 'goes off' I am unaware of this fact anymore as the 'do not disturb' is actually hindering it from vibrating.

As you can see from the image the alarm is set as an exception. 

This along with the fact I can now also no longer get rid of the camera shutter noise, which for me is the equivalent of nails being drawn down a blackboard (even though my system noise settings are to the far left and switched off) basically means that in a few months time, when I look for a new phone galaxy is not going to be my priority phone.

I have noticed that my do not disturb seems to turn itself off before the time I have specified, but I have not been awake earlier enough yet to find out when exactly it does this! Ha not the best is it 🤦‍♀️

I don't bother with do not disturb. Set my alarm for a particular day or reoccurring.
silence my phone and it still wakes me up (even on silent) when emails and other things stay silent.

I've always used the Do not disturb, so that I didn't have to go through all the apps that hit my phone during the night, as I have various friends around the world on various different apps, that send messages
As I presumed the whole point of the Do not disturb was to 'shortcut' all that & until this last update it had worked perfectly 😕

lucky you in not having to be awake earlier than the sch'd 'Do not disturb' but I have to be up at 6am, to enable me to catch a 7am train to work
I just happen to be on holiday this week, good job really considering
however I've never known for my Do not disturb to switch its self on/off before its due to

it's just as easy to make the phone silent. Just pull down the menu from the top of the page and tap the speaker, knowing that the alarm is set.
I can get upto 60 email's overnight over 4 different accounts

My apologies for sounding irritate but I'm really annoyed because if I'd have had to have been at work this week I'd not be getting in until nearly lunchtime due to the train services not fully running and then I'd be out of a job.

It's not your fault and I appreciate you are trying to help & yes I could put my phone on silent but I shouldn't have to, when I've never had to do so before as the whole point was that was automatic and I never had to remember to manually reset my settings each day to be in silent mode & then take it off silent mode.

& yes I'm that lazy that I don't want to have to manually put my phone on silent, especially when there's an inbuilt function to do it for me (plus I'm really forgetful over some stuff 🙁)

As far as I'm concerned Samsung have messed up a setting that was working perfectly and therefore they should be correcting it.

can I just ask did you wipe system cache after update? because alot of people don't and alot of times some old files get left over and it conflicts with the new update.

My alarm is set to 6am M-F and do not disturb is set to turn off at 7am, my alarm still sounds but that may be because do not disturb is turning itself off earlier than 7am. It's odd, have you sent samsung an error report?

No I haven't, but then I never have done so in the past
