Disappearing contacts!

Hi, I have an S10+ and have found that suddenly a bunch of my contacts have disappeared! I've noticed that in my contacts settings it says I can only see cotacts used regularly but that's not strictly true either. Does anyone know how to change this permission? Thanks.

Are you able to slide the Show Frequently Contacted toggle to "off"?

Yes, I've done that but hasn't worked. Thanks for the suggestion though

try Reset app preferences. It's in Settings/Applications-the three dots on the top right.
In App Permissions check permission: Contacts and Call logs. Tell us a greeting.
