Original topic:

Check connections when charging.

I've had my S10 since November and hadn't had problems until a few weeks ago. When I plug in my charger, if it is plugged in one (with the little line on the silver connection) it fast charges no problem. But if I now plug it in the opposite way it keeps telling me to check connections.

I thought it was the wire so I bought a new one to find it doing the exact same. Any ideas of how to stop it doing it or anything? I tried rebooting my phone but it didn't help.

Can you take a peek with a torch inside the phone's port just to see if there is a build up of dust or debris in there which could be affecting it @Jamie88

Ok @Jamie88

I suggested that as I couldn't see in your post that you had done this troubleshooting already.

You may have to wait until the Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centres re open after the COVID-19 pandemic ends and keep charging it the way you are doing.

Personally I prefer wireless charging albeit it's a bit slower than charging direct with a wire.

I tried it shortly after reading another post that someone tried it on their tablet.

Thank you very much for your help :smiling-face:
