Changing UI 3.1 Vertical Sliders to Old Horizonal

I received the 3.1 update this morning. I hate the vertical volume sliders. They are hard to read and hard to use. I want my old horizonal sliders back, but can find no way to revert to them or change the way the sliders are displayed.
