Hi, can't accept or make calls unless via WhatsApp or messenger, can anyone help? I have tried switching it off and on again.

sometimes taking the SIM card out then back in helps. try your SIM in another phone to make sure it's working... if you can get a friend or family member's SIM in your phone to test that would be good too... to narrow down where the issue is.

out of curiousity is the phone bought brand new or second hand?

If your network has a service checker then check what that says about your masts.
