Samsung you have nerve dumbing down a phone that the people are paying for! There should have been an option to ruin MY $1000 phone. I can no longer assign text tones without having to save a text in my phone from everyone in my contacts list, the minute you delete the text message the tone disappears until a conversation starts again and you set it again... terrible. I can no longer set my phone with a general ringtone it is automatically resetting itself to an AT&T stock tone. The themes no longer match the phone, colors fade, if the font color is white it becomes invisible on certain screens. Everything I loved about my top of the line NOTE 9 no longer exists. If I wanted a dumb downed phone with very little customization I would have bought an iPhone. You better make this right and fast. This looks like a class action law suit if you ask me. You went from blowing phones up to now making them unusable. Get it together.

DON'T UPDATE TO PIE that's my advice!!!!
After updating my beloved Galaxy S8+ to PIE this morning my dual sim and 256GB SD work around stopped working! It's been working great for months but straight after updating I got an error message "SIM card tray slot problem" at start-up. I loved this work around as I have UK and German SIMs and a 115GB music collection. I left apple and paid $1000 for my S8+ to solve this!
Start-up with one SIM works. I can only assume it is directly related to the PIE update.
PIE also looks awful and the phone is definitely slower in a number of apps.
PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO ROLL BACK AND GET RID OF PIE?!!!

That's not good @eparry501
Does your Sd card work ok still in another phone ? Can you test it as a process of elimination.
I use a dual Hybrid Duos Note 9 and use two different UK Network Sim Cards in it with no issues at all.
However as mine is a 512Gb version I have no use for a Sd Card.
Some downloaded apps may need to be optimised by the app developer to which a person can contact them via the app or Playstore etc.
Sometimes deleting the cache of the apps in Settings - Apps - Choose the App - Storage - Clear the Cache.
We probably use different apps so I may not be able to test mine for you but I'm willing to confirm if we have the same apps and try it for you or download one your currently using and having lag issues with.
Regarding rolling back Samsungs official stance is you can't.
That said use a Google Search and you'll come across various methods.
A person doing this does so at their own sole responsibility knowing that a phone can be put Into an unusable state and possible manufacturing warranty being voided.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512Gb in Phantom Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Thanks for the tip. After searching I found a helpful Youtube guide to restore OREO from PIE. Rolling back from PIE to OREO fixed everything!
After a few hours I had my S8+ running OREO with 2 sims and SD card all operational again. Therefore PIE stops dual SIM with SD card workaround on my phone.
I can say this is my worst update experience since Windows ME which I also just deleted.
..And Samsung if you're trying to save graphic design costs, my 7 yr old can do a better job in a couple of hours, seriously!!!! The new PIE Android 9.0 icons are AWFUL!!!
Gonna hang on with OREO as long as I can and look elsewhere. Thought Samsung was a reliable partner to replace Apple (after 6 yrs) but following a great 18mnths with my S8+, the PIE update has destroyed my confidence in Samsung.

Well, I been griping about the text message stuff since I got my Note 9. That stuff was changed LONG ago when they changed from Nougant to Oreo. I had this bug on my Note 5 and I've been yelling about it ever since November when I first found it.
As for your problem with the White Font on a White background, try turning your theme off. Most of the themes out there are not designed for One UI. Try it with the theme off and if nothing else, try the Dark Mode. (Setting>Display>Dark Mode)
When my 9 updated from Oreo to One UI, I wasn't too sure of it then. Since then I've found what needs to be changed, the settings that are messing things up and now, there is no visible difference between the home screen I had before the update, other than a couple of the icons look a bit different and the clock is on the other side, neither of which bother me in the slightest.
