I HATE this update. Besides ugly, childish and unprofessional, it is impossible to navigate AND it randomly calls the last person I texted. And its not just me.. My son has the galaxy 9 and same thing. I would hear him in the other room saying "dang it " cuz of the random dials then I mistakenly update and.. Tada. I'm randomly calling people as well THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED
ASAP
I hate that I paid nearly $1,000 for for a piece of ***** that doesn't work. Looks like it's time for a class action

mypphone is having serious connectivity issues; vacillating randomly between Roaming and useless 3G when it should be drawing clear signals from Mars. Then, it tells me that I should NOT turn on my Roaming when I have NEVER, in over a year, touched that setting. It destroyed all my accessibility ♿ settings, disabling my carefully organized theme FROM THE SAMSUNG GALAXY store making everything impossible to read or navigate. I have reached out to Samsung in Twitter and been summarily dismissed without a shred of assistance. This update is a real albatross and Samsung needs to fix it or provide an easy one touch solution for all the consumers affected. This is ridiculous.

My parents have the note 9 and me and my brother have the s9. All of us have horrible battery issues as well as randomly calling the last person. If 4 people out of millions are having the same issues, I would find it to be extremely common.

The Theme is probably part of your problem. The themes from the "Samsung Galaxy Store" are designed for OREO operating system and NOT for One UI. First of all, turn your theme off and try Settings > Display > Night Mode for a quick fix after the theme is off. Then contact the theme developers and download a theme that is designed FOR One UI.
This is a common problem with the update and is very easily fixed.

Sounds like a lot of work to fix what Samsung broke. I have to adjust the settings. I have to contact the app developers????? You have got to be kidding me. Do you work for Samsung? Because if this course of action is any indication of what to expect, I guess my loyalty to Samsung has ended and I will never trust another update again.

Nope... I don't work for Samsung. I only come here to try to help. If turning off your theme and TRYING it is too much work for you, I'm sorry about that. Next time you download an app, please make sure that it is designed for your OS. Yes, I know that the version that you downloaded was designed for Oreo. If you don't like my information, you may disregard it.

The fixes for several of these problems have been posted in this thread. Are you still having problems? And if so, which one?

MINE DOES IT TOO. it drives me absoutly insane! I need them to fix it. It randomly calls the last person I texted constantly! If I leave it on the screen for too long, i randomly head ringing. I can even lock my phone, and I'll hear ringing from my pocket. It makes me very anxious.

The calling after texting is a quick and easy fix.
Settings > Advanced Features > Motions and Gestures > Direct Call. Turn this OFF! From the descriptions... "Make a call by bringing your phone close to your ear. " Or your pocket... or your chest... or your desk.
Does no one read the messages that have already described this setting two or three times above??

Feature has been off for years and shows off but still does this when placed in a pocket. I think this new "update" is forceing that "feature", reagardless of setting. Phone if off (via power button) when placed in pocket but still dials.
All new after this update.
