Google Assistant on Note9 not working as expected

I've been a having a weird experience with google assistant on Note 9.

It's working but not like how the google assistant documentation says. I've tried adding the news sources too but it just searches it and displays it.

Found the answer. Apparently the features are based on the phone's language region. It's annoying how google limits the functionality based on the region when the features themselves are not really relevant to location such as routines.
