I can't use the USB Type C to make phone calls on any of my Samsung's devices (Note 20 Ultra, Note 10 lite and Note 9) Why is that? Any tips?

@AlexyN9 , Great to hear! 😊 Any particular step that you think fixed it?

Ants - I just followed the safe mode tip given above. It looks like the music app was the culprit because when I turned off safe mode it disappeared from my home screen as well as the Widgets for it, not 100% sure though.

Same issue here, even with the Samsung ANC USB-C Earphones EO-IC500 I bought from the Samsung website. Really stupid this.

was there a solution for this?

I have a Samsung A41 (with 3.5 and USB-c connector) and the Samsung EO-IC100 USB-C Earphones.

with a traditionel 3.5-headset everything works fine.

but if I use the USB-C headset I only hear sound and can use the mic everywhere but during calls. even with the headset pluggen into the USB-c and music playing if a call comes in, the call with use the smartphone mic and speaker (and not the USB headset).

why is that? (I already tried reboot and reset)

Hi guys,

I have an A32 5G for my job and I have the same issue, nothing it is said here have worked so far. Here it is the scenario:

1-with the 3.5mm jack headphones I can listen to music and take calls with no problem.

2-with the USBC connector headphones I can listen to music but i cannot use them to take calls, not regular calls, tot whatsapp calls, not teams calls.

3-I own a Huawei mate 20x with 3.5mm jack and USBC and both headphones work perfectly when listening to music and taking calls so I discard completely the problem with the headphones.

the thing is that, the usbc headphones are better than the old 3.5mm and I really want to use them specially for the calls.

I am thinking that, either, A32 5g does not support taking calls with this Kind of headphones or there is some bug in the firmware.

Any comment from anyone?

the answer about the same issue I received from Samsung Germany support was:

due to cheap chips used in the phones with both USB-c and 3.5 jack, voice calling can only be used through the 3.5 jack. and since this is due to the cheap chips used in the phones, this can not be fixed by software or firmware updates.
