@Allysisa: Our warranty covers software and hardware defects for 24 months from the purchase date, therefore if your device is under 24 months old, and is intended for use in your current region, then you should be covered.
The SamMobile article mentions an isolated case in India, and I am currently unaware of any wider plans to implement free of charge, out of warranty repairs for customers with similar issues. All I can recommend is reaching out to the relevant Support Team in your region via samsung.com, and you can discuss your options from there.

@Allysisa: We can certainly arrange for your device to be inspected and repaired, however if it is over 24 months old then the service would be chargeable. We haven't been made aware of any known issues that might have resulted in the lines you're seeing on your screen, so it won't be possible for me to advise you further in that regard.
