Hi guys, was wondering is anyone else having awful trouble when on a regular phone call, the person on the other end keeps complaining with a terrible echo? It is fine on my end but they say they keep hearing themselves?

Thanks

I noticed a horrible echo too, but it depended on the location of the call. I also had calls dropping all over the place.

They weren't in the same room, and neither one of us had Bluetooth headsets

My wife was having issues with her S8+ earlier in the year with calls dropping.  She was using WhatsApp for phone calls.

I advised her to only go through her mobile provider.  Just a thought.

Hi,

I have also this problem with my Note20Ultra. Everybody says that they are hearing themselves with a big echo. When switching to the speaker, the echo stops.

Same! Just recently suddenly people began to complain that they hear massive echo on their end. I hear them just fine. I didn't update any samsung apps or anything. Not using any bluetooth devices during the calls. Updated the android OS some 2-3 weeks ago. Weird.

I have the same problem note 20 ultra.

I'm now on my second brand new note 20 ultra from Verizon which is doing the exact same thing out of the box.

When I am calling via Bluetooth in my car the other party has a echo of themselves talking. the only way to stop it is to disconnect the Bluetooth while on the call and have it reconnect again and it will sometimes be better for a minute or two. If I hang up and redial them everything sounds fine this problem usually starts anywhere from 4 to 10 minutes on a phone call.

I have tried all the fixes and I've talked to Samsung which they want to send my phone to a service center to see further diagnostics but we all know this means they're not going to find anything and send the phone back to me.

There has got to be a software issue in this phone and it's not just this model I know there are other models that have gone back a few generations that have this same issue. Samsung please fix this problem your phones are too expensive to not work!

I have terrible echo problem when I put the phone down stand up position on a desk with speaker phone.  At least I understand on this position it may have feedback from speaker to microphone but I had been used this way to talk with note 8 all the time without any problem.  I brought up the issue with Samsung and T-mobile techs without success.  Only way to solve this is to hold the phone up away from blocking the bottom part of the phone. This is not convenient for using video conference calls.
