Hi Note 20 UK users

We all aware of the issues with exynos devices , being sub standard to snapdragon devices.

My question is when your note 20 ultra is fully charged what battery is shown as left. My Uk one is about 9h hours left at 90 %. I was shocked that the USA one can show double even with less battery %. OK I know you can't look too much into numbers but it's a real shame.

my s10 plus at 90 % with small battery always showed 12 hours left.

My note is getting better battery life each week. I'm also happy that it charges so fast to 100 percent even with 15w charger compared to my older Samsung devices.

I enjoying my note 20,  but when you see others versions get better results you feel cheated a little.

@Meh90,
Yes, the phone is behaving very nicely indeed that I am almost sad to read about the issues others seem to be encountering.
I consider myself blessed with a "Blueprint" unit. Lol..!

the exynos isn't that bad at all this time around I'm easily going 2 days without a full charge, Just a couple of 5 min charges when popping to the shops in the car.

at 95% battery mine  stats 1d 9h left   and i have everything at max always including the screen brightness.

@BandOfBrothers How are you getting on with the HK sm-n9860?

Thinking of going down the Wonda Mobile route. Are you on Vodafone UK and are there any limitations?

Thanks - Keith

Hi @kradcliffe

I haven't looked back since buying the phone which is the dual hybrid sim phone.

esim won't work.

WondaMobile makes it easy to buy with the Snapdragon version soc from Hong Kong.

No import fee's.

I've experienced no issues whatsoever.

Optimisation is better than the Exynos version which I've owned too.

I use Vodafone UK Payg and o2 Payg sim cards.

Although I haven't tried Samsung Pay it may not work.

Google Pay works.

VoLTE may not work.

Apparently Calling Over Wi-Fi does.

My phone has recieved software and security updates ok.

Samsung UK via Samsung Experience Stores or Samsung Service Centres may not offer support, but WondaMobile do apply a 12 month warranty.

I have Home Contents insurance and accept I would have to pay an excess fee and my premiums may rise if I have to make a claim.

The phone comes in the correct retail box, along with a real Samsung 3 pin plug charger, and is unlocked to all networks and has no region lock.

Actually comes with a soft tpu case in the box too.

Where I am 5G is limited so I haven't been able to test it.

Check what the phone supports in the way of 5G which is on WondaMobiles site and on Samsungs too and gsmarena to what your intended network does use.

i.e Vodafone UK.

If I can help further then don't hesitate to ask.

@BandOfBrothers That's the order placed, will let you know when it arrives. I'm quite sure the SD version will be far better than Exynos.

@BandOfBrothers Phone arrived earlier today. I got it all set up and first impressions are very positive.

One of the main issues I had with the Exynos was the display not being great, a bit dull and washed out but this one is perfect. Just seems a bit more responsive and smoother all round.

I won't get a gauge of the battery life instantly but I do expect it to be significantly better.

I've done the whitelist approval for 5g and enabled VOLTE, but it's difficult to test it works where I am in Aberdeen. Apparently Vodafone has 5g up here but my Note 10 plus only ever gets 4g+ and that's in the city centre.

Will keep you updated but if this works out it will be a magnificent handset for under £800. How Samsung UK can still charge £1179 for the inferior Exynos version is beyond me.

Hi @kradcliffe

Thanks for letting us know you've received your phone and that initial impressions are good.

Thing is with 5G is that conditions have to be optimal and pretty much ontop of a 5G module for it to connect sometimes.

As 5G does not predominantly improve my surfing speeds I'm fine with 4G + so in my connections settings I have 5G turned Off as it's also a resource hog on the phone's battery

Your battery will still be in its learning phase.

Happy days.
