Note 20 Ultra 5G Rebooting by Itself

Has anyone else had an issue with their new Note 20 Ultra 5G constantly rebooting by itself?

Took delivery of brand new Note 20 Ultra 5G last Thursday which arrived from the Samsung store.

Set it up and noticed that it kept rebooting when it wasn't being used. Followed Samsung self help... cleared cache partition, restarted with same issue... safe mode but still same issue... factory data reset without loading any apps and still same rebooting issue.

I can't see any other posts that refer to self reboot issues with the Note 20 Ultra 5G so maybe it's a one off, but it seems strange, straight out of the box.

Contacted support today who offered refund after a couple of frustrating hours on hold / live chat / disconnection more calls and emails. Will take the refund but would have preferred a working phone as the design is really nice. Not sure whether to chance ordering a replacement as customer service was a pretty poor experience.

if you have an sd card, have you removed your card? I had this issue and my phone was very slow and constantly freezing. I also did a factory reset and in the end, it turned out the sd card was causing the issue. Thank God it hasn't rebooted for more than 24 hours 🙏.

hope you get your issue sorted.

I had the same problem and found that I had auto optimization turned on. Go to settings > device care > click on 3 dots > Advanced> and make sure that both the Auto Optimization and Auto Restart are off.

I had this issue and took it to a friend who used to work for Samsung as level 3 technician (basically can repair anything) but he couldn't determine what was wrong. I spoke to my network provider and they suggested that they replace it. I accepted and now I haven't had the problem, so I conclusion, it's probably a faulty handset and will need replaced....

No, that's not on. It was so bad coming home from my out of town trip, it kept turning off while using my GPS. 7 times from Indy to Chicago. Ridiculous.

I just gave up and went back to my 9. This is so bad I don't know I'll ever buy a Samsung again ugh...

Edit: I sent it back to Samsung who told me their was nothing wrong. I got it back, turned it on and... restart! Only had factory apps. They told me I could send it back again but they probably wouldn't find anything wrong. Just Ditch samsung this is useless'

Hello,

I allso have this issue, phone constantly reboots during the night but it may not reboot every night. It is very frustrating because i need to be available 24/7 for work.

I have tried everything from clear cache to hard reset and all fixes above, nothing seems to be working.

Note. I am using dual sim configuration.

Otherwise phone is not laggy or even hot for that matter.

I don't know what to do besause we have a pain in the ass repair store, so i'm basically stuck with a *****ty phone.

An reply from a samsung official would be nice to adress this matter

Best regards
