N9860 4G issues

hi 

since I've switched to note 20 ultra for some reason I'm not getting 4G+ at all i never had this problem with previous phone Note 8.

any help would be appreciated

Do this happen everywhere or in one particular place @Temur 

Could be the masts at issue or mast congestion. 

When I chose my phone and imported it from Hong Kong one of the first things I did was to check the frequencies and bands the phone has to that of the Network's bands and frequencies.

I'm in the UK and use o2 and Vodafone UK and attain 4G and 4G +

it happens everywhere apparently .
im using virginmedia I've checked all their bands which are supported on note 20

Can you just as a process of elimination try your sim card back in your other Samsung phone and then see what happens @Temur

Hi.. I have the HK SM-N9860 I'm on 02 get 4G and 4G+ on 02 but never 5G. Have you ever got 5G on 02? I know some other carriers have. Thanks.

My o2 Payg tariff does not allow 5G at this time @MarkJCW however as 5G mainly allows for faster downloads of large files I'm not missing it.

I do receive 4G and 4G + on my N20 Ultra Snapdragon version from Hong Kong.

If you take a look on xda-developers.com/t/getting-5g-volte-working-on-sm-n9860-hk-note-20-ultra-5g you'll see some have had 5G working but it depends on what the Network in question uses for their 5G spectrum.

Some have found putting the sim card in sim slot 2 works !

seems like the problem is the coverage in the area where i live i traveled to another town and guess what 4G+ and 5G started to work.

but i would never find 5g on my phone

Is 5G selected in Settings, Connections, Mobile Network's,  Network Mode  ?

Also check using the o2 Network Checker that 5G is available in your area.

5G is a relatively new connection type thus it's not everywhere and can be difficult sometimes to connect to.

Also 5G isn't available on o2 Payg at this time.

If your tariff type does include 5G then also have a word with o2 customer services to ensure all is ok at account level @Cringanu
