I'm not aware of any removal of this setting.
Can you screenshot your camera settings for me.
i.e this is mine.
Also try a phone reboot by turning it On and Off.
Look for any software updates for your camera.
Try Settings > Apps > Camera > Storage > Clear Cache > Clear Data if absolutely necessary.
