Not so long ago my nephew took my new Note 20 Ultra, and then I saw that all my documents are locked! I have never been struck by such a problem, so I'm kinda helpless. Several free antivirus programs told me I have AndroidOS/LockScreen ransomware, but to remove this virus I need to purchase a license.  Found this guide, where a free solution is offered, but it looks dubious. Can you say, if it is legit and can be used without negative consequences? Or can you advise me a solution for virus removal and decryption?

if you have an antivirus suite for a pc, they usually have an antivirus for phones too. if you have something from a reputable av company, such as McAfee, Norton, Kaspersky, etc try running that on your phone. also, try something like Malwarebytes. have a go at removing it using AVG.

@regmitchell: What are you using to access your documents? While I can't really recommend any third party security options, I recommend heading to Settings > Battery and Device Care > Security > Scan Now, to see if this flags any potential threats.
