End of the Note series?

Just a discussion and gaging forum feeling. I've just heard that the Note series may stop now... and more emphasis will be put on the premium S range and new folding phones from 2021 onwards.

This is just rumours, don't know if someone may reply to confirm it but if true what are your thoughts? Especially from long term Note users?

I've had all the Notes from Note 2 onwards... I remember returning my Note 1 thinking it was too big at the time and getting a Blackberry Bold 9900 instead (using Note 10 plus now lol) I am adamant I am going on sim only when my contract ends and will try get a few years out of my current phone... in the meantime will see how things unfold with Samsung flagship devices.

same, on Note 10 here, i really hope there will be Note21 to tie me over for another 3 years .. hopefully by 2023-2024 the Fold series will be good enough. can't imagine using current fold with soft screen phones with pointy s-pen for 2000£.

I know its not the best of places to get news or updates but from YouTube I saw a video claiming that the next S21 or whatever they will call it... will get the S pen and so will the next Folding flagship... so in a sense I'm understanding how its making the Note series redundant... but the uplift in cost to the next Fold is big as you said with that £2K price tag. I don't generally like change too much lol.

yep, and S21 will have pen separately, unless it's held nicely by an optional case i can't see how i gonna carry it around.
with note it was always there when I need it, at 1am in a pub to sketch a floor plan.
I don't have to plan ahead and take a stylus with me just incase I need it.

I wouldn't have any issue with it if Samsung decided to merge the Note and the S series 😁 a smaller lineup can be a bit more efficient! 🙂

yes, if they add Spen silo in to S21 ultra, or just call Note 21 an S21 Ultra ... that would be OK....

for me its all about the note series... i will be devastated if they stopped that.. i fund them a lot more on point rather than the s series.

Certainly seems no new Note model in 2021  which would suggest N and S series may be merged and Samsung will focus on premium devices including the Fold for the ultimate experience.   Can understand it from business and efficiency point of view, though maybe a pity of a pity  (though am not Note user myself)

Still a bit speculative  and whilst the Note series might have a limited lifeline,  according to these  articles a Note 21 may be on the Horizon.   Talk of an an under display front camera that is invisible to the naked eye.
