Hi everyone,  i just wanted to share my experience regarding my note 10 + 5g.
Everything was working fine until i recently went abroad to my home country. As soon as i landed i turn my phone on and it started to overheat like it was about to explode, i immediately turn it off and wait till I'm outside the airport. I turn it back on and again the same overheating but i have a message about it this time on my screen 'cooling down' explaining that my phone was overheating and other stuff. I wait a little and turn it on again. I've just landed and needed my phone to make a few calls and everything else. The whole phone looked like a mess, my screen protector started to disattach so i decided to take it off because it was damaged. The same day my screen started to fade over the curved edges and with a closer look i noticed it's all micro scratched. Some apps starting to crash here and there , my contactless payment with google pay and samsung pay stopped working all of a sudden, i had problems listening over the phone and people couldn't hear me properly, over the next few days my battery was dropping down quite quickly and sometimes in turned off when reaching 15 -14%, when calling the proximity sensor sometimes gets stuck and need to manually turn the screen on.
Luckily no problem with both cameras as i really really needed it to take lots of pictures.
I don't really understand what happened as i travel a lot and had almost all the 'note' series and some S series and never had a problem travelling, not to this extend. After coming back in the uk first thing is book an appointment. I also notice that while using the gps, the coverage drops almost immediately and sometimes loses it completely till i reboot my phone or sometimes just turn gps off. Went to Kingston upon Thames, the lady run some tests, she started to tap the upper part of the screen with a ring on her finger , tapping the ring multiple times on the screen (wow) and told me that i have some problems on one of the microphone and the proximity sensor, not acknowledging anything else i just told her or asking anything.  She told me that i will have to leave my phone for a few days , so i ask if they could provide me with any other phone in the mean time as i don't have a secondary phone and coming a long way from where i live i needed my maps and most importantly i needed my sim available at all times due to my work. She just said that unfortunately due to coronavirus they don't do that anymore and that was my only option.
JUST WOW. how disappointing.
I then called samsung support, they told me that an option would be to book a repair at my house, which is brilliant i though! In the booking process they required my IMEI number and as soon as i entered that it didn't recognise it with a message saying that i needed to call samsung support. Again I'm on the phone, they check the IMEI  on their end, everything was fine, they eventually help me to book a slot ,in 2 weeks time. I'm waiting now the repair to come to my house in 6 days. In the mean time i had the famous update stuck at 26 and that's where i thought i needed to have this phone replaced instead of repaired.
Today i downloaded and installed a new update, MAGICALLY my google and samsung pay started to work again but whenever the phone overheats a little bit they both stop working. I'm so frustrated right now!

Not a good experience at all @Rykandroid

The recent software update didn't work for people who owned the Samsung Note 10+ 5G so Samsung pulled the update and re worked it.

I now have this update on my Samsung Note10 + 5G.

The best place to go when a phone shows so many issues is a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre if a Factory Reset does not help.

If this was me i would have purchased an inexpensive phone with a decent camera to use in the interim so I could carry on being connected and able to take photo's while my primary phone was dealt with.

I appreciate that wouldn't be an option to everyone.

I wish you all the best with this situation.

thank you, i did not expect my phone to perform like this as soon as i landed and unfortunately i couldn't buy another phone at that time, i was just expecting my £1200 phone to work as expected!!! i went already to the samsung stores and can't leave it for days and days due to my work i need to be available majority of the time. I had samsung phones since the Galaxy SII, switched to note and s series multiple times, i think after this experience and other notes blowing up because of overheating and battery problems I'm sure that's going to be my last samsung phone. customer service is really disappointing and that lady tapping with her ring on my screen to test it, i mean.... how incompetent can you be???

the unlucky thing is that if it started having problems like 1 hour before you left home you could have used one of your older devices... so unlucky

yes, the fact that i landed and had this overheating problems at the airport did not help, i was helpless and needed to make a few calls and couldn't use my banking apps as they were crashing and phone was rebooting so i had to turn it off... in another country!
