Galaxy Note10 SeriesCan anyone confirm if I am able to buy official replacement screen protectors for the Note 10 plus in the UK? There are none on the Samsung Online Store ( only for the S10 plus which also came with one pre installed ) and apparently none in the Experience Stores.
The one that is pre installed will need replacing at some point and I would be interested to continue having the genuine Samsung one.
So far, Samsung UK have not provided a clear answer to this.
Thank you!

Galaxy Note10 SeriesSamsung has not replacement of screen protection of tempered glass or special gel.
You can try with someone in the market, only two recommendations for you. For a screen protector will be important to have the info as Case Friendly if you will use with a case to protect all the phone, if not could be possible than corner take off when rubbing and look bad. Also minimum 9H value as resistance of glass with 2.5 round corner at minimum too.
You must read info from others customers for be sure that it works fine with fingerprint Samsung system.
I can tell you one in special, there are some that take up an infrared machine to put them, very complete, also are a little bit more expensive but I could in videos of people who tested them how they put them and how they used them without problems after installing it.
You can try to ask in some mobile shop with experience about this

Galaxy Note10 SeriesHi @RpBP2,
So Samsung sells no screen protection at all for the Note 10 plus? Is this an official info?
It would be a bit silly, because they are made and added to the screen before the phone is sold.
I always like to buy original accessories for my phone - cases, chargers, etc including screen protectors. I know the Note 9 also did not have any official screen protector but back then I did not have the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display to worry about. I had a Spigen glass fitted on and I was very happy oy with it. Now I am willing to bet that most glass screen protectors will not be compatible with the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
I have already read and studied about other options out there but before I buy anything, I want to be certain that Samsung does not and will not offer screen protectors for the Note 10 series.

Oh I see.
My initial post was to see if there is any official info on this forum about Samsung screen protectors for the Note 10 plus since they are obviously made and pre applied on the phone. The fact that I asked in only one store does not mean that I know for a fact that they are not made, otherwise I would not have posted.
I know about non genuine solutions to protect my screen, I have studied them.
And as a matter of fact yes, it has been raining, what does that have to do with anything?
I appreciate you trying to help but on this occasion I wanted a yes or no from an official source. 👍

Galaxy Note10 SeriesAccording to these sources things are worse than I initially thought.
And to add insult to injury, Samsung recommends the use of their official accessories

Galaxy Note10 Series@MadalinK I think that the recommendation from Samsung is due to the fact that the main assumption at this time, is that when you register fingerprints through a screen protection, if this protection has many kind of grain inside it, it may flaw the fingerprint sensor which registers the protection instead of the finger themselves.
Though in the video from this person in the UK, they said they tried the protection on their daughter phone (already registered without it) and they were able to log on using their own fingerprints... This is harder to believe actually though.

Galaxy Note10 Series@DL31 Exactly. First of all I do not trust a UV cured glue on my screen. I do not know in the long run how it will affect the glass and if it will be easy to peel it off without any damage to the phone if it needs replacing in the future, and there is also the security issue.
Then there's the Spigen screen protector which my partner had to install on his Note 10 plus. It feels "rubbery" and there is a sort of "wavy" pattern to it.
Mine, which is the pre applied one, has also developed a very small scuff already.
I have written to Samsung about this entire situation and am now waiting to hear from their Product Specialists team.
Thanks for your input

Galaxy Note10 SeriesI am getting even more worried by the day now!
Look at the video on Twitter

Also I just saw this Notice in my Samsung Members app. Is it a coincidence?

Galaxy Note10 SeriesIt's me - again.
Apparently Samsung has released a software update for this issue. I am not sure on what phones is available, mine is the Note 10 plus 5G

Galaxy Note10 SeriesFirstly, glad someone started this thread. Secondly, I saw the same message in Samsung Members app.
My factory installed screen protector was fine up until my cat pushed my phone off a table and it hit the stone floor in my kitchen face down. Now I'm grateful for the screen protector because it saved the screen but the small miniscule debris on the floor left tiny imprints in the screen protector.
I assumed that Samsung sold a replacement but found none when I looked on the Samsung UK online store and US online store.
It's funny that Samsung suggest using their own products yet don't sell a replacement. I was having problems with the area around the screen where the fingerprint sensor is so, without thinking about what I was doing, I took the factory installed screen protector off. Unfortunately I couldn't salvage it from the bin as it seems a different adhesive is being used on the factory installed screen protector. I'm now forced to used the clear view case I purchased but I'm now super anxious about dropping my phone because the flap on the front of the clear view case does not stay in place when sat face up and because of this, the screen is not always protected.
I've tried looking for alternatives. Looked at online tech review/blog/news sites that list the "top 5 screen protectors for your Note 10+" etc etc but the reviews on Amazon don't follow what these tech blog/news sites are saying. The other thing is to be aware of the film type screen protectors and tpu (that's plastic) screen protectors. I don't know if the tpu screen protectors will cause the same false reading on the sensor of it catches the micro impressions on the tpu screen protector which is sat above the sensor. I'm not going to bother with tempered glass either because they don't adhere to the screen which make them useless when they have a thin sliver of adhesive around the edge. The tempered glass screen protector I got with a case I purchased from ESR had the fingerprint section as film rather than glass so that it would "work" with the sensor but it didn't so my Note 10+ 5G is "naked". Guess will just have to hope that either Samsung removed their screen protector from their online store when the issues with the sensor started coming out and that they're updating/improving the screen protector.
I'm just on the process of installing the update that Samsung have released. Still in search of a genuine replacement. Anyone sees one, please post in this thread.

Galaxy Note10 SeriesIn fact i believe samsung does not tell to use their own products, but tell to use "samsung approved" or "designed for samsung" accessories or something like that...

Galaxy Note10 Series@Cosmic730 I totally agree with you.
Related to Samsung removing the screen protector from their website, I don't think that was the case. I began searching for them about 3 weeks ago when I bought my phone with no success, so they weren't there to start with. Please update this thread if you find any.
@DL31 I can take that. If they can tell me which screen protectors have had their seal of approval, I will buy it/them.
In some statements, Samsung did say to use their own official accessories. The S10 came with a screen protector that was pre applied just like on the Note 10, and the official replacement ones are available.

Galaxy Note10 SeriesWell we can assume that the problem is the following :
- a consumer registers his fingerprints with the screen protector ON
- screen protectors (gel silicon in this case) has a pattern / grain inside it
- the fingerprint sensors registers (wrongly) the pattern of the protection
- when someone applies his fingers, the protection pattern is read by the sensor, matching enough similar points to have the sensor judge that the fingerprint is valid --> unlock device
So (assuming that's how the problem occurs) if one registers his fingerprints with protector on, all he has to do is test with his other unregistered fingers if he can unlock. If not, then there is nothing to worry about ; even if the screen protector is not approved by Samsung.

Galaxy Note10 SeriesHave you seen this video on Twitter?
https://twitter.com/Sta_Light_/status/1184475413252210688?s=19
The user registers his thumb only. He tries to unlock the Note 10 using his index finger which is not registered and it doesn't work. He then adds a silicone case to the screen and places his index finger on the ultrasonic sensor again and voilà, phone unlocked.

Galaxy Note10 SeriesI've only had the Note 10 for literally 1 month and I already have a big scratch on my screen protector - I don't even know how I managed to get it. I am very careful how I handle the phone.
I was browsing and kept blowing on the screen thinking it was a hair, until I realised it was a scratch
This has not happened to me in a very long time.
So I was very grateful that it was on the screen but now it looks horrible and I need to find a replacement very soon.

The user awareness is the first protector, and scratches occur out of abrasive contact only. go whitestone dome and done.
