My Files and Gallery app

When you go to a folder on my phone, then open a picture in that folder with the gallery app, you cat swipe to the next picture in the folder.

Is this by design, or security? Can this be changed so it does?

On my device, S10e, it will swipe to another picture. Maybe empty cache en delete memory of the My Files en Gallery app?
