How to install fresh official rom

Hi,

I have aquired a secondhad samsung note 10+, and I'd like to have it completely factory restored, as the previous owner once had a virus on it, and I want to make sure it is completely gone. I have searched online, but couldn't find an official way of doing it. I'd rather go the official way with smartswitch, but the device doesn't get listed when I go into the emergency software recovery option on the program, and I don't have any recovery code.
Any help on this will be much appreciated.

A simple Factory Data Reset should suffice.....

As long as samsung members diagnostics says official software, nothing super bad has happened to android itself and as piper said, a normal reset does just fine.

Other methods do exist but they're overkill and for if the device is rooted or something castrophic has happened
