Galaxy Note20 Ultra Password Changed after Android 13 Update

Hi. I'm new to the community and would appreciate the help of members here. A few hours ago I got locked out of my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra phone right after updating to Android 13 firmware.  I discovered that the regular pattern I had been using before the update had been changed.

I tried unsuccessfully unlocking it with the Unlock tool from within my Samsung account, but remembered I had not enabled this feature on my phone. After many failed attempts to unlock the pattern, I  received the below message on my  phone's screen:

"There have been too many unsuccessful attempts to unlock this phone. To protect your security, we have locked it permanently. Contact Samsung customer service to reset your phone."

I have tried factory reset to no avail. I'm stuck and cannot use my phone., and I have not been able to contact Samsung Customer Service.

Any help here is really appreciated.

Do what it says to do, contact samsung directly, as there is absolutely nothing a member in here can do since you have permanently been locked out of your account.

This doesn't just happen on its own, but the point of security like this is to stop people getting in. If anyone could get in, then it's not... Well secure!
If you don't know the password, nothing and nobody gonna unlock it unfortunately.

I would like to thank all  members who have responded with helpful suggestions.

Unfortunately, I had to resort to factory resetting my phone and start from scratch.

My issue here is, why would an Android version update replace a pattern lock with another one... or replace a password with one you didn't add?

I always use a simple pattern that is easy to remember.
