Got this photo back in September with the Z Fold 6.
I wanted to see how good the camera was on the phone.
So popped it on the roof of my conservatory and opened the phone to angle it towards the Milky Way.

Left it to do it's long exposure photo.
When I got out and looked at the result. The imagie actually made me say wow.
I never expected it to look this good.

Obviously being a RAW image, I used one of my Lightroom presets to clean it up a touch.

So detailed you can see the Andromeda Galaxy.
I just never expected something like this.

Another image below I was battling with a bit of light pollution.
But prominently you can see Jupiter and towards the top are the Pleiades Star Cluster and at the bottom is a line of stars that make Orion's sword

In full resolution on my phone, the images look amazing. Sadly the community reduces the resolution a bit.
But it amazes me how good smartphone cameras are now

Frankly I couldn't believe it either. Had to take the photo again to make sure it was really.
Only needed a few adjustments in edit to bring out all the details from the RAW image.
I was just amazed, and phone cameras have not amazed me like that for a while.

A fox or squirrell would find it hard to use a mobile so would not nick it. 😂.

This is very good, I struggle to take decent star shots. I tried so many times but gave up.

The phone needs to be completely still. Best to use a tripod or something like that.
Then if your phone has it. Use the Expert RAW app and select the Astro mode
The photo won't come out like the one I've posted, so you will need to adjust the exposure and contrast in the edit software
You can play around with colour temperature and sharpness etc if you need

But most of all you need a dark sky with as little light pollution as possible

It's just about experimentation
I have a preset to initially edit with
But that's based on low light pollution
It's just trial and error to be honest
The photo I've posted in this reply is the original RAW long exposure file. But processing it gives the image in the post to bring out the details. 20240912_012315_1000009362_1726100595.jpg
