I usually visit the Beaver Pond which is on New Hampshire's Route 112 during the autumn, (I'll post an autumn image below) but this past week we drove up to Rhygate Vermont to look at a house and we stopped at the Beaver Pond. In this area, Route 112 is Lost River Gorge Rd. (on the other side of Lincoln NH it's called the Kancamagus Highway)
Anyway, the road runs through a valley between high hills, this is the western White Mountains and is a part of Kinsman Notch. I was losing the light but it gave a moody feel to the images. The first two images were taken with my S25 Ultra and the first image is a 12mp using the 9/16 frame. (its only 900x506 since I'm sharing it here)
When looking at it at 100% zoom, it's still pretty clear. but I still feel the 50mp setting gives us more image to work with, especially when you want to sell your images.
For my second shot, my only change was the 50mp setting and everything else was the same.

Depending on the year when you arrive at the Beaver Pond, you might find the far hill in red fall colors. If you want to know more about this location check my website jeff-foliage.com and do a search on the Beaver Pond. There you will find suggestions for when to be there to get great fall colors.
Below is a shot from my S22 Ultra in 2023. It was not a good year for fall colors. It should have been peak fall colors or just after, but things were still very green with just touches of color.
You can see the far hill does have a lot of fall color, but much of it is hidden by the fog. I can say that most times in the early morning, I do find a wonderful layer of fog in the Notch.
But depending on your luck, it may be a bright sunny morning. In the fall, the sun aligns in the Notch, lighting up the hills to the right.
