Weird sim issue

Hey members!

Since this morning, my Galaxy A14 has been randomly showing “Emergency calls only” and the 🚫 icon for a few seconds. The signal comes back after that, but it’s pretty annoying.

I’ve already tried restarting the phone and removing/reinserting the SIM card, but the issue still keeps happening. Enabling airplane mode actually makes it worse, it shows “No service” for longer.

Could this maybe be happening because my carrier is currently migrating to another, bigger carrier ? Or is my phone itself starting to act up? I bought it just last year 😅

By the way, removing the SIM card doesn't happens anymore but just inserting it causes the issue.

I would contact your network provider and check for network maintenance or outages. Your theory about a migration to a larger carrier is a plausible cause for intermittent service, as some customers experience disruptions during this process. I would definitley ask them first as it may not be a hardware issue and your phone could be fine.

You could reset your mobile network settings. Maybe something bugged out and a configuration change failed or something
