My Tab A9 has just updated to UI 8 and Android 16.

I can no longer remove items from the dock at the bottom of the screen, as fast as I pull them off they re-appear.

How do I get rid of them please?

Many thanks for your reply. This is apparently a feature of Android whereby it puts icons for recent apps and "recommendations" at the bottom right of he screen, goodness knows why but I managed to turn it off after finding following AI answer:

You can manage these by long-pressing your home screen, going to Home Settings > Suggestions, and toggling "Show recent apps" (for home screen dock), "Suggestions in all apps list," or "Show recommended apps" (in Recents).

Hi there and welcome to the community 👋

Have you tried to press and hold on the app and the menu should appear with option to remove, have you tried this way?

Also have you checked in home screen settings if "lock homescreen layout" is turned off? 1764868619294.jpg1764868726958.jpg
