Hello chums. So I have the Galaxy A21. How do I optimise/clean/delete my phones storage to say free up memory/more space? The phone is saying the storage is 95% full. Annoyingly I have actually put a memory card in the phone, which is apparently only 6% full. How/can I make it so that stuff is stored onto my memory card? Can I use the memory card to hold/store apps and/or large files so my internal memory isn't full up? Thank you peeps.

Only certain apps can be moved to a SD Card @BigJason

If it can be moved it will allow itself to be allowed in it's Storage preferences settings.

https://www.androidauthority.com/how-to-move-apps-to-sd-card.

To free up space on your phone's storage you could look at >

  • Run the phone's optimisation tool found in Device Care.
  • Remove old apps / music / emails / mms / Calendar notes / notes and contacts etc.
  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.
  • Empty Recycle Bins.
  • An extreme option is back up and factory reset.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
