Speech to text for dictation Samsung A8 2018

Hi,

I have a Samusung A8 2018.  I used to use the speach to text function all of the time, but the microphone icon has dissapeared from my Samsung keyboard. I tried going through the settings (in the 'v' settings the microphone icon is not there) the icon has completely dissapeared from any of my keyboard settings. Does anyone know how to add it back in?

I had the same issue with my S9. No matter what I did I could not get the microphone to show on the keyboard. I found an alternative solution using Bixby. If you enter the Bixby settings and turn on the toggle saying "Bixby dictation" then when you are using your keyboard you can activate Bixby and dictate. I hope this helps!
