SMS and whatsapp notification issue

no sound played for either SMS or whatsapp notification issue

both apps are greyed out in App Notifications... resets and uninstall re install = nothing.

where the issue seems to show is under  ... Settings/advanced features/Dual Messenger both these apps are listed ... so I guess it may well be an update issue ? Ver 15 is on the phone.

Have you got system sounds set to silent?

Thank you for taking the time to  respond to my dilemma .. all the sounds etc on !! so cycled all on to off to on .... still no sounds 😏

Ok so I'm presuming you have gone to:

Settings
Notifications
Messages App and googled them on (blue)?

Then you've gone to the App Drawer, hard pressed on the Messages App, clicked on the I inside a circle icon, selected Notifications and googled them on?

And I'm presuming you've gone to Settings, Sounds and turned Notification sounds on?

And do you have a Samsung Watch?

If yes, could you settings there be the issue? Messages coming to the watch instead of or as well as the phone?

Same question if you have headphones connected wirelessly?
