Slow motion not a selectable option on A41

I cannot make the slow motion option appear on my camera.  i have reset the camera and cleared all the data.  re-started the phone etc   it just wont appear   the app is on the phone in apps 

I have tried everything i can find on the net to get it working to no avail

it doesn't support slow motion but the a40 did so chances are this will get updates to support it
