Setting up voicemail on A35

Hello all. I've just set up my voicemail on my Samsung A35. I had to record my name to set the voicemail service up.
Is there a way to revert back to the old system where one could just select a recorded generic message? ie, "This person is currently unavailable, please leave a message."

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hey there

Yes, call your voicemail number and go through the options to select what you want.

Voicemail isn't on your device, it is carrier specific. 🫠

Thanks. Sadly the only option is to record a message. I've spent the past hour plus trying.

I'm in the UK, on the "ID Mobile Network". I've been with them 9 years and never had this issue until now.

To remove your personalized voicemail message on iD Mobile, you can:

Call 123, your default voicemail speed dial

Listen to the options about your personal greeting

Select the option to not use your personal greeting

Follow the instructions to remove your personal greeting

If you're unable to change your greeting, you can contact iD Mobile for help:

Online via Live Chat

From their social media pages by using Facebook Messenger or X (formerly Twitter)

You can also turn off voicemail by logging in to your iD app or logging in to your account area and selecting "services", then toggling voicemail "off".

Thanks for taking the time. I've tried all these options, and the ID app doesn't work on my A35. Seems to be a compatibility issue. Live chat has been down for some time, but I'll keep trying. Thanks for your effort.

Why don't you call them? Much easier and quicker.

It isn't anything to do with your device though, it is a network issue

Thanks. They've been exclusively online for about 5 years now. I did chat with them yesterday, but they just gave me the same instructions I found online. Thanks for your effort.
