Samsung Account deletion email - did anyone get the email from Samsung saying that any account not used in 2 years will be deleted? 

What do you need to do to keep it active? I got a new phone in April this year and signed into all my accounts including my Sansung account. 

Is this enough to keep my account active?

Hello, please don't worry about your account getting deleted, this change will only affect accounts  which aren't active for 24 months.  They detail which is defined as usage/activity to prevent your account from getting deleted due to in-activity here those uses:  

Samsung defines account usage/activity as follows:

  • Creating a Samsung account
  • Logging in to Samsung services/products using a Samsung account
  • Using a service/product while logged in with a Samsung account

To prevent your account from being deleted, and to ensure proper use of Samsung Services, your account must have at least one usage/activity every twenty-four (24) months.

You just need to logged into a device or product and usually it daily or once a year.

If you go 24 months, without logging in or using a Samsung device / product your account will be deleted after 24 months of inactivity.

Before your account gets deleted for inactivity you will receive an email from Samsung saying your will be deleted on (date) if you do not log in or use the account.

Its just a notice to mentiom changes being if you dont use your account itll be deleted after 2 years. Everyone will get this email
