Samsung A40 screen black

Yesterday my Samsung A40 got wet in the rain. Water got into my cover. Now the screen is black. When I plug it in it still makes the charging noise. Have tried resetting it by holding the power and volume down button. Is there anything else I can do or will it need repaired?

Since it hasn't got IP rating protection it will be considered as water damaged. You should be prepared for expensive repair unless the you have got insurance.
