Samsung A14 5G touchscreen doesn't work anymore after update to One UI 7.0

after updating my A14 5G to One UI 7.0, my touchcreen doesn't work at all anymore. 

How to fix this?

I gave samsung the benefit of the double waiting for some sort of fix to this issue, but I am running out of patience. Next week it will be goodbye samsung, and I will have to buy a new phone if this is not resolved. Just had to push the side button 35 times to unfreeze the screen. Any new great tips to improve performance of phone until a solution is found?

My touchscreen not working properly after the latest update. Very frustrating.  I am waiting on a remote engineer calling me back. This is second time I am trying to resolve. First phone call they told me to take sim card out. It worked for a couple of hours then froze again. Not happy at all.

Any form of "Re-set" clears the prob for an hour or so.

It's the same symptoms they had in initial roll-out of UI 7.0 in Korea.

This is surely recognized and the lack of reponse is very frustrating.

I've just gone in to settings to check for new updates and there's a Security update being downloaded.....

Installing....

Updated - Security Patch Level 1 August 2025.  ....time will tell if this works. Going to take my phone off the charger and see what happens. Hopefully it will be ok.

Give it upto 24 hrs before celebrating 

I had informed Samsung that I only had the May security patch, but they didn't seem to think that was causing our prob.

Update done, back into WAIT mode

I have emailed the CEO of Samsung UK. After them saying there was not a problem I had a new message last week saying they were requesting a patch from the software manufacturer. No info to say when they are expecting this. Luckily I also have a Galaxy tablet, but this doesn't help with phone calls. It now wants me to update this tablet. Needless to say I am not attempting to do this until the matter is resolved.
I have to say I was impressed by the quick response from the CEO department but finding a way to contact Samsung was completely impossible as the problem didn't ever suit their required problems. Fingers crossed everyone.

Just reviewed my communications with Sam Support.

Just before they asked me to "Factory Rest", they asked if my phone was running the latest security patch (Aug).  My reply was no , it was the May patch and this was the latest available to me.

I suspect that our problem fix has been known all along,  they were just waiting for Aug security patch to permeate down

Latest from CEO - 18th Sept 3pm UK.
As per my email dated the 11th of September - A test is currently in progress, and upon completion, we expect to deliver the solution via the upcoming software update. We anticipate this update will be released within the next week or so, however, a specific release date has not yet been determined.

 

We are still awaiting an update on the software release from our Product Support Specialists, and therefore, we are currently unable to provide any further information on this matter. We understand this delay may cause some inconvenience and sincerely apologise for that. Please be assured that we are diligently working to release the software update as soon as it becomes available.

I am in Ireland

Received Aug security patch this morning.

Have installed and ,so far, prob is gone.  Need to wait a few hrs to be sure

This patch was not available to me before today, my phone was running May security patch.

I believe this fix was known by Samsung as other regions already had it and what you have seen from CEO is incorrect.

I suggest you try a software update and see if the Aug patch is available
