I'm wondering if there is a compatability issue between them.
What's the make and model of the bluetooth speaker ?
Perhaps run a Google Search to see if others are experiencing the same.
Try going into Settings , Apps, Bluetooth , Location and clear the cache which might help.
If bluetooth isn't in the list initially then tap on the 3 little dots in the top Rh corner and.choose show system apps.

Hi,
It's a Sony SRS-XB3.
I cleared the cahce like you suggested and along with a phone restart that seems to have done the trick.
Thanks
Andy

Good Morning,
I just wanted to say that I try it and it didn’t work. Now if I wished my Bluetooth headset not to be interrupted or to close abruptly on me, I need to disconnect wifi, why is that?

I have the same issue with the bluetooth ... The connection between the A71 and my sony wh-1000xm3 does not last more than 10 seconds...
And regardless of whether I am connected with the wifi or not.
What can be done?
This is very annoying - I now regret having changed my A50 which worked perfectly from that point of view ...

I have been having issues pairing my A71 with bluetooth devices in general. Have gone back to wired headphones. Is iffy when trying to connect to my Fitbit. Really wish I could have my S8 Active back. I haven't had such awful feelings for a cellphone before.
