QR scans not working after update

I installed an update last week now I can't scan any QR codes in apps. All permissions seem OK and its not the codes as I have seen others doing it ok. It was fine until the update.  So frustrating,  anyone any ideas? I am losing points not scanning codes when I buy stuff!!! I have a Galaxy A21s

Nope, they keep saying they will get back to me but no one has, other than above etc... tge issue is still there and yes, very frustrating especially when Samsung don't seem to want to take responsibility after the update. Fingers crossed they reply soon!!!

I also can't scan some codes. Flowcodes don't work at a local restaurant and another code didn't work when I went to a restaurant. Buffalo Wild Wings qr code worked and an ice cream place had one that worked. I have a Galaxy S10.

Mine's still not working and its been months. Samsung are doing nothing about it. They aren't acknowledging it's anything to do with the update, but it is and I have proved it using a completely different phone!

I seem to have narrowed down what the cause is. Seems like the camera only detects QR codes when they are surrounded by a big portion of white background. Any surrounding background color too dark and the phone just straight up doesn't detect a code. Hopefully this will help someone and Samsung pays attention to this comment to investigate the issue. This issue applies to my Galaxy S10 plus so I think it affects all phone models.

I'm dealing with the same problem.

My QR Code Scan Camera doesn't working in every app that uses it after a updated my A20S for the last update available in Brazil.

It seem like is a problem of focus or the phone is choosing the wrong camera for read Qr Codes.

Saya juga mengalamainya pada samsung A20s,  setelah update OS android 11, one UI 3.1, semua aplikasi pembaca qrcode seperti ovo,gojek dll tidak bisa membqca qrcode. Saya lihat carema tidak bisa focus saat membaca qrcode dr aplikasi ovo,gojek. Camera tdk bisa focus intinya.

Mohon samsung bisa memperbaiki masalah focus pada qrcode ini.

Still not working and tried everything! 😡 Samsung said nothing to do with them or the update 🙄 we must all be wrong instead 🤷‍♀️

I'm using S21 Ultra with the latest update and can confirm that I am suffering the same issue. I need this functionality to work as before as I am required to scan QR code to check in no matter which store or shop I visit due to the pandemic. I hope Samsung takes this issue serious and fix it soon.
