One of my parents has experienced an issue recently that I would like to share, in case it is helpful to others.
I am not sure where he picked it up from, or which app installed it, but it seems a different launcher was installed to his phone that is just swamped with spam adverts and would be a security concern to me.
It took me a whilst hunting around in the phone settings to find an app installation called 'weather home' was installed and replaced the default ',OneUI' from Samsung.
To remove this... need to go to settings - apps - choose default apps. Then go to the 'home app' option and select ''one ui home'.
Then i would recommend going back to apps... find the 'weather home,' app... and uninstall it.
This UI that installed itself over the top of one ui from Samsung, seemed to just constantly spam adverts and made the phone quite unusable... like a viral app might do.
Hope these tips help anyone else that might have experienced a similar problem.
