New A35 5G not receving text messages

I have just bought a new A35 5G just this last week. It does not receive texts when I am home. If I change the sim to my old Nokia that gets texts fine but not the new A35 5G. I went through diagnostics with Talkmobile, the sim and contract I have is not new. They could not get it to work but clearly it is not the network. Any help appreciated????

Did your network send you the settings and stuff?

Consider simply turning your phone off and on

As a very last resort back up and factory reset to start again.

None of this has helped and there is a marked deterioration in signal strength in my apartment between my old Nokia that gets SMS messages instantly and my new Samsung. I've been through extensive diagnostics with my network so the only conclusion is the antenna performance between the 2 in buildings.
